Mull Of Galloway Scotland

Mull Of Galloway Lighthouse

It's been a while since I posted here...
Domestic chores (oh and sea fishing) have put my artistic creative processes on hold lately...
Recently Evlar and I needed to escape and we drove down to the peninsula known as the Mull Of Galloway the most southerly tip of Scotland...

Irish Sea Side
Across the Solway Firth To England
Looking east across Luce Bay and the Solway Firth you can see the mountains of the Lake District then turning 180 degrees Ireland across the northen channel of the Irish Sea comes into view...

Across the Irish Sea to Ireland in the distance

Having an interest in sea fishing from many moons ago I was naturally
interested to find out online that this area was known for a large variety of species of fish and anglers make their way here from all over the UK...
Portpatrick
Crown Hotel ...A.A.Awarded Seafood Pub Of Scotland
So after finding some shore fishing marks for the future we headed home but not before taking a small diversion to the harbour at Portpatrick for a hot seafood platter at the Crown Hotel...

This peninsula is so beautiful and reminds me of my home county of East Sussex with rolling hills, grazing sheep and sheer sea cliffs albeit solid rock and not chalk...
