A couple of my abstract expressionism paintings will be hanging on the wall of Gallery 1 in the Maclaurin Art Gallery Ayr from Sunday 15th Feb until Sunday 16th March...

The first one(above) entitled " Force Of Gold " is my interpretation of a global currency collapse because of quantitative easing and the precious metal becoming the worldwide trading currency...

And we all know who has been buying up all the physical gold don't we China...

Warm colours dominate to take away those current rainy winter blues...

Having walked this path and the sands I prefer to get the bus round the beginning of the walk...

I haven't walked Goatfell on the Isle Of Arran recently...

I have had 2 attempts and the closest I have got to the summit before the body said a big NO was excruciatingly close maybe 50 yards max as can be seen in the photo below...

Maybe next year I shall return in better shape and be able to see the amazing view from the summit...

Anyway this painting " Walking Goatfell " from today shows the lower levels of the ascending walk as the rock path meanders it's way through heather and grasses towards the ridge...
