Mull Of Galloway Scotland ...Stuart Kirby Arts

So the brushes have been on hold recently and its the digital SLR camera that has been in my grasp...

I was recently asked to photographically cover certain events at a wedding at the beginning of the month...

All went well and it was good to have a change of mindset and media in creating, capturing and processing images of the special day...

It took me back to the 90's to the days of me using film to create images...click to see more..

I remember being in the press pit taking editorial images of tennis stars like Anna Kournikova (remember her) and sending my film for 1 hour processing whilst staffers for national papers were armed with early versions of digital cameras and laptops and able to wire through their pics to their picture desk and editors directly...I just couldn't compete back then...different now though with all this technology...especially viewing the image immediately after capture...

Across The Solway Firth To England....Stuart Kirby Arts
Anyway yesterday me and Evlar ventured down to the Mull Of Galloway for a run out...

It was nice to see my homeland across the Solway Firth with the snow topped mountains of the Lake District in the distance...

I love this most southerly point of Scotland and its views especially on a clear day albeit a bit hutchy and windy like yesterday...

Across The Irish Sea to Ireland....Stuart Kirby Arts
Last time we were here I only had my phone camera but this time luckily I had brought my DSLR along and captured a few pics...

Swinging round through 90 degrees on this peninsula Ireland comes into view which is the birthplace of some of my ancestors...

A nice run out all in all...Thanks for dropping by...

Oh just a reminder...Don't forget my totally absolutely FREE month of March art giveaway... you can enter here...
